Philadelphia, PA – Strong winds and heavy rain will impact parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware on Wednesday. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind advisory for southern Delaware in the afternoon.
According to the NWS Philadelphia/Mount Holly office, wind gusts will reach 40-45 mph along the coast and 25-40 mph inland. Strong winds could bring down tree branches and cause power outages.
Rainfall totals will range from 0.5 to 1 inch, with some areas seeing up to 1.5 inches. Localized flooding may occur in low-lying areas. The NWS warns that thunderstorms are possible, increasing the risk of severe weather.
Drivers should prepare for hazardous travel conditions due to wet roads and strong winds. Residents should secure outdoor objects and stay alert for weather updates.
