Porter, IN – Lane closures are set to begin on I-94 between mile markers 31 and 36 in Porter and LaPorte Counties. The closures will start Sunday, October 13, and last for two weeks, impacting both eastbound and westbound lanes.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, crews will work nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday through Saturday mornings. Motorists should expect reduced lanes and delays as pavement patching progresses. The work will begin in the eastbound lanes before switching to the westbound lanes.
Drivers traveling through the area should be prepared for changing traffic patterns and longer travel times. INDOT advises planning for possible delays, especially during the overnight hours. These closures will last for approximately two weeks, with nightly construction taking place up to six times per week.
