Philadelphia, PA – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for portions of northern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania from midnight Wednesday night until noon Thursday, bringing a mix of snow, sleet, and ice to the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, affected areas include Sussex and Warren counties in New Jersey, as well as Carbon, Monroe, Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks counties in Pennsylvania. Forecasters predict up to one inch of snow and sleet accumulation, with ice buildup ranging from one-tenth to two-tenths of an inch.
Hazardous travel conditions are expected, particularly during the Thursday morning commute. Drivers should anticipate slick roads and reduced visibility, especially on untreated surfaces. Officials urge caution and recommend slowing down when traveling.
