Carol Stream, IL – A 66-year-old woman was fatally injured Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Gary Avenue and Stark Drive, police confirmed.
According to the Carol Stream Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m. and found the pedestrian unresponsive. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The DuPage County Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigations Team’s Crash Reconstruction Team has joined the ongoing investigation. Authorities have identified all individuals involved but have not yet released the name of the deceased, pending notification of her family.
