Joliet, IL – Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Joliet has announced its December 2024 mobile food pantry schedule, providing free food assistance to those in need. The initiative, requiring no pre-registration, encourages everyone to simply show up.

The mobile pantry will make three stops this month:

• Dec. 6: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 205 E. Jackson St., Joliet, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

• Dec. 16: St. Lawrence, 165 Rice Rd., South Wilmington, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

• Dec. 20: St. Joseph, 211 N. Center Ave., Bradley, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

According to Catholic Charities, the program is designed to alleviate food insecurity in local communities during the holiday season. Residents are encouraged to visit any of the scheduled locations to receive assistance, no questions asked.

For families facing economic challenges, this mobile service is a lifeline, especially as temperatures drop and costs rise.
