Parkland College on Alert After Social Media Threat; 19-Year-Old Arrested in Champaign

Champaign, IL – A Champaign man has been arrested for allegedly threatening violence against Parkland College. Police responded at 9:06 a.m. on Tuesday after Parkland Public Safety alerted them to the threats made on social media.

According to authorities, 19-year-old Malik Judeh of Champaign allegedly made the post. Officers arrested Judeh near his home at 11:02 a.m. on Tuesday and transported him to the Champaign County Correctional Center. He faces charges of felony disorderly conduct and unlawful use of a weapon.

Police executed a search warrant at Judeh’s residence following the arrest. The investigation continues with assistance from the FBI and Parkland Public Safety.
