Orland Park, IL – A Lynwood man faces multiple charges in connection with an alleged armed vehicular hijacking at a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Orland Park. The incident occurred on June 6, 2024, when a vehicle transporter was loading a 2021 Mercedes-Benz for delivery.

Two suspects, armed with a firearm, reportedly approached the driver, demanding the keys. The suspects fled in the stolen Mercedes and another vehicle. Orland Park detectives located the stolen car unoccupied in South Holland. Further investigation linked the suspects to a similar crime in Chicago Heights that same day.

On September 12, 2024, authorities arrested Marcus D. Turner in Markham, IL. At the time of his arrest, Turner possessed two firearms and had a revoked FOID card. He now faces charges of aggravated vehicular hijacking, unlawful use of a weapon, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Turner appeared in court on September 13, where a judge ordered home confinement until his next court date on October 10, 2024.
