Millsboro, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating skimming devices found at self-checkout kiosks in several Wawa locations across Sussex County. The devices may have affected customers between August 31 and September 14.
Police are urging customers who used these kiosks to monitor their bank accounts for fraudulent activity. Locations impacted include stores in Millsboro, Rehoboth Beach, and Lewes.
According to Delaware State Police, skimming devices record card details and can be hard to detect. Police advise customers to inspect card slots and use tap-to-pay for safer transactions. Tips include checking for cameras, signs of tampering, and reporting suspicious activity.
