Bourbonnais, IL – Olivet Nazarene University will present its 88th annual performance of Handel’s Messiah on Saturday, October 26, at 7 p.m. The concert will feature a 250+ voice mass choir, made up of alumni and current students, accompanied by the University Orchestra. Dr. Neal Woodruff will conduct this special event.
According to the university, the performance will take place in Hawkins Centennial Chapel, seating 3,000 guests. This year’s Messiah concert, a key feature of the 2024 Homecoming celebration, includes a sing-along Hallelujah Chorus. The audience will be invited to sing along with the choir, and sheet music will be provided.
Tickets are required for the event and can be purchased at Olivet.edu/events. Free parking will be available on campus. The concert will be recorded and streamed online later in the year.
