According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, the Neuse River’s crest is forecasted to be 21.4 feet, exceeding the flood stage of 18 feet. The Tar River at Tarboro will peak at 23.17 feet, well above its 19-foot flood stage. Residents in affected areas should be vigilant and prepared for potential flooding impacts.
The week’s weather in Raleigh features mild conditions, with temperatures ranging from the upper 60s in the mornings to mid-80s during the day. Wednesday through Friday will see clear skies, with temperatures peaking at 87°F on Friday. The weekend will bring warmer temperatures, nearing 90°F, with plenty of sunshine. No significant rainfall is expected, which should help alleviate the current river flooding.
