North Carolina Five-Day Weather Outlook: Rain Today, Sunny Midweek

Raleigh, NC – Rain will sweep across central North Carolina today, with the heaviest showers expected between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Motorists on local roads, including I-40 and I-440, should prepare for reduced visibility and slippery conditions. Skies will remain cloudy with temperatures reaching a high near 49°F.

According to the National Weather Service, tonight will bring a slight chance of lingering showers before 8 p.m., followed by gradual clearing. Low temperatures will dip to 33°F, with light winds from the west.

By Tuesday, residents can expect clear skies and a warmer high near 59°F, making it an ideal day for outdoor activities. Sunshine continues into Wednesday, with highs reaching 56°F and gusty southwest winds up to 15 mph.

Looking ahead, Thursday brings another day of sunshine before rain chances return Friday afternoon. Highs will climb into the low 60s by week’s end, providing a mild close to January.
