Tamworth, NH – A driver was killed Friday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Tamworth, according to authorities.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, the crash occurred around 8:19 p.m. on Friday, July 4, when a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck veered off Maple Road and collided with a tree. The caller who reported the crash said the driver was unconscious at the scene.

Emergency crews from the Tamworth Fire Department responded first, providing immediate medical attention before the driver was taken to a nearby hospital. The victim, whose name has not been released pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
