NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The City of Naperville, in partnership with the Naperville Public Library, invites residents to the final event in the Embracing Community Book Read series. The discussion, titled “An Inclusive Community Conversation,” will focus on Peter Block’s book Community: The Structure of Belonging. It will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, at the 95th Street Library.

Peter Block’s book explores the concept of building genuine community relationships. Themes of citizenship, belonging, and transformative possibilities will be central to the discussion. Attendees are encouraged to invite others, even if they have not read the book.

According to Geneace Williams, Naperville’s Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, this event supports the city’s mission to foster inclusivity. The Book Read is part of a larger community series, “Embracing Community: Expanding Our Dialogue, Deepening Our Understanding.” Participants will help shape future city initiatives through their input on Nov. 7.

All are welcome to attend, with registration available online.
