Naperville Fire Causes $110K Damage in 300 Block of Carriage Hill

Naperville, IL – Firefighters quickly contained a blaze that caused significant damage to a home in Naperville Wednesday evening.

At 7:44 p.m., the Naperville Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a report of a fire in the 300 block of Carriage Hill. Units were dispatched immediately, including two engines, a ladder truck, a medic unit, and two battalion commanders. The fire’s intensity prompted an upgraded response, adding another engine, ladder truck, medic unit, and a heavy rescue team.

According to Naperville Police officers on the scene, flames threatened the home’s interior. Firefighters arrived at 7:48 p.m., spotting smoke and visible fire on the structure’s left side. Crews began offensive operations, extinguished flames, and limited the fire’s spread. A search confirmed no occupants remained inside.

Firefighters controlled the blaze by 8:07 p.m., ensuring adjoining structures were safe. Damage to the home is estimated at $110,000. Officials reported no injuries.

The Naperville Fire Department received mutual aid from surrounding departments, including Oswego and Lockport. Crews stayed on-site awaiting an investigator to determine the cause.
