Goshen, IN – A 46-year-old Goshen man suffered minor injuries Sunday afternoon after crashing his Harley Davidson on State Road 15.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the man was riding near County Road 126 when he lost control of the motorcycle. The rider hit a rumble strip, causing the bike to skid. The man laid down the motorcycle in an attempt to avoid a more serious crash.
The rider sustained abrasions on his elbow and reported back pain. Emergency services treated him at the scene.
Authorities say the man was not riding with a valid motorcycle license. Additionally, he lacked the proper insurance for operating the Harley Davidson. Despite these violations, he was not severely injured in the accident.
Officials remind motorcyclists to always maintain proper documentation and follow safety guidelines when on the road. Sheriff’s deputies are investigating further to determine if additional citations will be issued.
