St. Louis, MO – Light snow is expected to arrive across parts of Missouri Thursday night into Friday, potentially affecting road conditions. Southeast Missouri is likely to experience the heaviest snowfall, with accumulation projections between one and two inches.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in St. Louis, snowfall will begin late Thursday evening and persist into Friday morning. While most areas are only expected to see light snow, southeastern regions, including Cape Girardeau and Farmington, have a higher chance of measurable snowfall exceeding two inches. Drivers should exercise caution, as roads may become slick during the early morning hours.

Temperatures are forecast to drop to the mid-20s Thursday night, with wind chills making it feel even colder. Friday morning will see lingering snow showers before skies gradually clear by afternoon. Highs on Friday will reach the low 30s, but a brisk northwest wind will keep it feeling colder.

The extended forecast shows improving weather through the weekend. Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies with highs near 32°F, followed by partly sunny conditions Sunday and a high of 36°F. Looking ahead, next week begins with more sunshine and temperatures in the mid-30s.

Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts for updates and use caution if traveling Thursday night into Friday. Stay prepared by ensuring vehicles are equipped for winter weather and leave extra travel time.
