Milwaukee, WI – As Wisconsin residents brace for fluctuating winter conditions, forecasters highlight increased snow chances toward the weekend. Friday could bring light snow across Milwaukee, but Sunday is shaping up as a day for heavier accumulations.

According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, light snow is expected Friday with minimal impacts as temperatures climb to the upper 20s. The real concern comes Sunday when a stronger system is likely to bring several inches of snow. With precipitation chances reaching 70%, residents should prepare for slippery roads and possible disruptions.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with highs near 29 degrees, offering a calm start before the snow arrives. Friday’s snow showers could leave slick spots along major roadways, including I-94, so commuters should exercise caution. Winds remain light, with lows dipping into the teens overnight.

Saturday looks drier but colder, with partly sunny skies and highs near 26 degrees. However, conditions will deteriorate quickly into Sunday, where high-impact snow is forecast. By Monday, skies clear, but bitterly cold temperatures in the single digits will set in, continuing through early next week.

Prepare now by checking vehicle safety kits, stocking essentials, and planning flexible travel routes. Stay updated through local forecasts to avoid surprises.
