Paducah, KY – Severe thunderstorms and scattered showers are forecast to impact the region through Monday, with some storms potentially becoming severe. Southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, and parts of Kentucky are under a heightened risk for strong weather as thunderstorms continue to develop.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, the most intense storms are expected to occur late Sunday afternoon and evening, with heavy rain, hail, and strong winds possible in the affected areas. These conditions may persist through Sunday night before a final round of storms moves out on Monday.

While there will be a break in rain during Sunday morning, storms are expected to redevelop in the afternoon. Residents in southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, and parts of Kentucky should be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions and take precautions as severe storms move through the region.

The weather will remain unsettled with temperatures ranging from 57°F tonight to a high of 85°F on Sunday. Monday will see temperatures in the 70s, with stormy conditions expected to clear by the evening.
