Minneapolis, MN – Warmer temperatures are expected Sunday, but rain chances increase early this week before colder air moves back in by Friday.
According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will be partly sunny with a high of 41°F before clouds return overnight. Monday brings a 20% chance of rain with highs reaching 45°F, while Tuesday climbs to 46°F under partly sunny skies. By Tuesday night, rain chances increase to 30% before tapering off Wednesday. A brief warm-up is expected Thursday before a possible rain-and-snow mix Friday.
Drivers should be aware of potential wet roads early this week, especially along major highways like I-94 and I-35. Winds remain light, but temperatures will drop again by midweek, making for a cooler end to February.
Looking ahead, Friday could bring the first signs of snow mixing with rain as temperatures fall back to the low 40s. Residents should stay updated on changing conditions and prepare for possible slick spots late in the week.
