Louisiana State Police Arrest Four in Connection to Madison Parish Homicide

Tallulah, LA — Louisiana State Police arrested four individuals in connection with the September 8 homicide of 24-year-old John Ward Jr. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Thomas Street, Tallulah.

Police obtained arrest warrants after an ongoing investigation. Javion Nelson, 21, of Delhi faces charges of second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. Gerald Albert, 26, of Tallulah is charged with illegal carrying and discharge of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Two other Tallulah residents, Ta’Niqua Brazil, 33, and Deontay Willmore, 39, were arrested for obstruction of justice, among other charges.

All four suspects were arrested without incident and are currently being held at the Madison Parish Detention Center. The Louisiana State Police continues to investigate the homicide, with assistance from the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office.
