Milwaukee Police Arrest Three Teens After Shots Fired at Officers

Milwaukee, WI – Milwaukee Police are investigating an attempted homicide after suspects fired shots at officers during a pursuit on Thursday evening. The incident occurred around 6:59 p.m. on the 3500 block of N. 23rd St.

Officers observed a stolen vehicle that had been carjacked earlier that day on the 1000 block of W. Keefe Ave. When officers approached, the vehicle sped away, leading to a pursuit. The chase ended on the 2300 block of W. Finn Pl., where three suspects fled on foot.

A 17-year-old male driver was arrested shortly after on the 3400 block of N. 23rd St. His passengers, a 16-year-old male and an 18-year-old male, were apprehended after a brief foot chase. The 16-year-old allegedly fired a gun at officers during the pursuit. No officers were hit, and they did not return fire.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office will review charges against the suspects. Police confirmed no officers were injured in the incident.
