Logansport, IN: Car Crash Injures Two Drivers at Rural Intersection

Logansport, IN – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon at a rural Cass County intersection. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after 3:52 p.m.

The collision occurred when a 2001 Buick, driven by 59-year-old Daniel Myers of Muncie, IN, traveled westbound on County Road 550 North. According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Myers failed to yield to a southbound 2008 Chevrolet, driven by 17-year-old Anabelle Shackelford of Royal Center, IN.

Both drivers were transported to Logansport Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that alcohol and narcotics were not believed to be factors in the crash.

The intersection was closed for about an hour and a half for investigation and vehicle removal. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash.
