Urbana Teen Hospitalized After Shooting on Bradley Avenue in Champaign

Champaign, IL – A 16-year-old Urbana resident was hospitalized after being shot late Sunday in Champaign. The incident occurred in the 300 block of E. Bradley Avenue at approximately 10:23 p.m.

According to Champaign Police, officers responded to reports of gunfire and found the teen with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. The Champaign Fire Department provided emergency medical care before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital. The teen underwent surgery and remains in serious but stable condition.

Initial investigations indicate the teen was walking near Bradley Avenue when shots were fired. Investigators are working to identify those involved and determine the cause of the gunfire. No suspects have been identified at this time, and no arrests have been made.
