BRADLEY, IL – Over 1,000 Bradley residents have sought out gift cards under a new Village of Bradley program brought on after a sales tax increase.

The village recently announced a surplus of $4 million under the program since the tax increase went into affect. Homeowners in the village will be receiving a 100% rebate on the village portion of their property tax. However, a new program has launched that is giving $125 per household to those living in Bradley who are not homeowners.

The program has been met with enthusiasm by the community, with over 1,000 people already applying for the gift card rebate. The program is expected to last at least another 60 days, with distribution of the gift cards to begin sometime in the next month.

The Village of Bradley Household Pre-paid Cards will have a tiered structure based on residency in 2022. The tiers are: $30 (1-90 days), $60 (91-180 days), $90 (181-270 days), and $120 (greater than 271 days). Only one Household Pre-paid Card is available per household.

To determine eligibility for the Pre-paid Card, an application must be completed and proof of residency must be attached.
