Oswego, IL – A Lisle man has been arrested following an eight-month investigation into a home invasion and sexual assault earlier this year.
Oswego Police identified 31-year-old Larry E. Foster as the suspect in the case. According to authorities, Foster unlawfully entered the victim’s residence and committed sexual assault. He faces two counts of criminal sexual assault and one count of criminal trespass.
The investigation began on March 16 when a victim reported an unknown intruder had entered their home and assaulted them. Police obtained surveillance footage showing the suspect inside the residence. While initial attempts to identify the suspect were unsuccessful, forensic evidence later led detectives to Foster.
Police determined Foster was known to the victim. Kendall County prosecutors approved felony charges on November 22, and a warrant was issued. Foster was arrested Saturday morning at his Lisle residence without incident.
Foster was booked at the Oswego Police Department before being transferred to the Kendall County Jail. He is awaiting a pre-trial hearing.
Authorities remind the public that all charges are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
