According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, the advisory begins at noon Saturday and extends through early Sunday, varying by location. Snow and sleet accumulations between 1 and 5 inches are expected, with the highest amounts in the Poconos and northwestern New Jersey. Ice accumulation could reach up to three-tenths of an inch in elevated areas, increasing the risk of power outages and tree damage.
Affected areas include:
• New Jersey: Warren, Hunterdon, Somerset, Sussex, and Morris counties
• Pennsylvania: Lehigh Valley, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe, Berks, Montgomery, and Upper Bucks counties
Travel could become treacherous, especially in higher elevations. Authorities urge drivers to slow down, use caution, and check road conditions by dialing 511.
