Winnipeg, MB – A robbery suspect was arrested early Saturday morning after an assault outside an establishment on Main Street. The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. on August 31, when a man in his 20s was involved in an altercation with an unknown individual. The situation quickly escalated, leading to a physical assault. The assailant repeatedly punched and kicked the victim before fleeing the scene.
While the victim was lying on the ground, a second individual approached. This second suspect continued the attack by kicking the victim and stealing personal belongings. Witnesses on the scene alerted police when they arrived, and officers apprehended the second suspect based on their identification.
According to the Winnipeg Police Service, the arrested individual, identified as 25-year-old Ethan McDougall of Winnipeg, faces charges of robbery and failing to comply with a release order. McDougall remains in custody as the Major Crimes Unit continues its investigation.
