Lake County, IN – Authorities have identified a suspect in the stabbing of a 14-year-old girl during a baseball game in Lowell, Indiana. The incident occurred Saturday, as the girl watched her brother’s game at the VFW baseball field with her mother.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Department stated that around 3:45 p.m., a man allegedly attacked the teen with a butcher-style knife, attempting to stab her in the hand. When the girl’s mother intervened, the suspect also tried to stab her. The victim was treated and released from an area hospital.
