Lake County, IN – 101st Avenue will be closed between Clark Street and Blaine Street Thursday, April 10, and Friday, April 11, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM daily for drainage repairs. Weather permitting, the closure will allow the Lake County Highway Department to complete essential work.
According to the Lake County Highway Department, the detour routes for both directions will guide traffic around the closure. Drivers traveling eastbound on 101st Avenue will be directed to Blaine Street, then to Cline Avenue, continuing south to Route 231. From there, traffic will continue east on 105th Avenue to Clark Street, and then head north back to 101st Avenue. Westbound drivers will follow a similar detour, using Clark Street and Route 231 for the detour.
Drivers are advised to proceed with caution in the area and to give extra space between vehicles. The highway department encourages everyone to drive distraction-free, especially in work zones.
