Chicago, IL – HP Hood LLC has issued a recall for select 96-ounce Lactaid milk cartons due to a potential almond allergen that is not listed on the label. The affected products were distributed across several states, including Illinois. This recall applies to five SKU varieties of Lactaid milk, with production dates between November 22 and December 4, 2024.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recalled products were shipped between September 5 and September 18 to multiple states, including Illinois. The cartons in question carry the product code “51-4109 P2” and corresponding expiration dates. Consumers with almond allergies may face serious health risks if they consume the product.
As of now, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall. HP Hood LLC urges consumers to check their cartons for the affected codes and to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or exchange.
