Kentucky is waking up to wet pavement and a low ceiling of gray clouds as bands of showers push across Louisville this morning. Water beads on windshields along I-64 and I-65, and brief heavier bursts could slow traffic before lunchtime.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, showers and thunderstorms remain likely through the day, with rain chances near 80 percent and highs climbing to around 70 degrees. Some storms this afternoon and evening could turn strong, with gusty winds and small hail the primary threats. Spotter activation may be required.

Another round of showers lingers into tonight with rain chances near 60 percent and lows around 60. Thursday stays unsettled. Rain and thunderstorms remain likely, with highs again near 70 and gusts reaching 20 mph at times.

Friday trends warmer and more springlike. Highs push near 80 degrees with a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, especially later in the day. Keep an eye on updated alerts if you have evening plans.

Saturday looks wetter. Showers and thunderstorms become likely again, with rain chances near 100 percent and highs in the lower 70s. Repeated rainfall may lead to minor flooding concerns in low-lying areas by the weekend.

Early next week brings a stronger spring signal. Highs reach the mid-80s Sunday before settling into the 70s Monday. The 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures across Kentucky, reinforcing a warming trend.
