Kankakee Home Invasion Leads to Arrest of St. Anne Woman

Kankakee, IL – Kankakee police responded to a home invasion Monday afternoon on the 300 block of South Alma Avenue. Officers arrested Angela Heath, 33, of St. Anne after she allegedly entered the home through a side door and began causing damage with a large pocket knife.

According to the Kankakee Police Department, a resident was home during the incident and called his roommate, who then contacted the authorities. Police reportedly found the knife outside the home. Heath has been charged with residential burglary.

Heath was booked into the Jerome Combs Detention Center at 8:15 PM on Monday. The incident occurred at approximately 8:16 PM, when Heath allegedly forced her way into the residence and started destroying property. The police arrived shortly after the call and apprehended Heath at the scene.
