Jasper County, IN – State Road 14 in Jasper County will close for four weeks starting Monday, October 7. The closure affects the section between County Road 650 West and U.S. 231 for a bridge deck overlay maintenance project over the Iroquois River.
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced that motorists will need to follow a detour during the project. The official detour will use Interstate 65, State Road 114, and U.S. 231. According to INDOT, this preventative maintenance work is necessary to extend the lifespan of the bridge.
Motorists are urged to plan ahead and expect possible delays while traveling through the area. Local traffic should use caution near construction zones and consider alternative routes during the closure.
For more information on road closures and updates, drivers are encouraged to visit INDOT’s website or use their social media platforms for real-time traffic alerts. The project is expected to be completed by early November.
