Quad Cities, IA – Funnel clouds are possible Monday afternoon through 8 p.m. in the Quad Cities area, according to the US National Weather Service.

Residents are urged to stay alert as these funnel clouds could potentially develop into tornadoes. The warning is particularly focused on the Highway 20 corridor. In addition to the funnel cloud alert, the forecast for the week ahead indicates humid conditions with daily chances of showers and thunderstorms.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday has the highest chance for rainfall, especially in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to range between 81 and 86 degrees, with overnight lows in the mid-60s.

Wednesday’s forecast shows a slight drop in temperatures, with highs from 78 to 86 degrees and a higher likelihood of thunderstorms. These storms may bring heavy rain and gusty winds. Thursday and Friday will see temperatures between 80 and 85 degrees, with a mix of sun and clouds. Most areas will stay dry, but isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out.

As the week progresses, summer-like conditions will persist, and residents should remain vigilant for sudden weather changes.
