Boone County, IN – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will temporarily close the Hall Baker Bridge on County Road 100 E over Interstate 65 just south of Lebanon. Crews are set to begin maintenance work on Monday, impacting both northbound and southbound traffic near the bridge. During this closure, the I-65 southbound entrance ramp and the I-65 northbound entrance ramp will be closed, limiting direct access for drivers using C.R. 100 E.
According to INDOT, the closure is expected to last until early December, with the timeline dependent on weather conditions. Southbound drivers on C.R. 100 E should use I-65 northbound to State Road 39 (Exit 139), then re-enter I-65 southbound. Northbound travelers on C.R. 100 E will detour south along Indianapolis Road to State Road 267 and then re-enter I-65 northbound.
INDOT urges drivers to consider alternative routes and exercise caution near work zones to ensure safety for all. Local residents and commuters should expect delays and plan accordingly as maintenance continues through the fall.
