Residents are advised to avoid burning yard waste due to the elevated fire danger caused by dry conditions and low humidity levels as low as 25%.
Looking ahead, Illinois will experience unseasonably mild temperatures throughout the week, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s by Thursday. While today’s winds dominate the forecast, Tuesday and Wednesday will remain breezy, but with slightly calmer conditions.
