Champaign, IL – Illinois State Police arrested a Champaign man on September 9, 2024, for possession and dissemination of child pornography. Dante J. Scott, 28, was taken into custody following a search of his home.
Authorities from ISP Zone 5, along with Champaign Police and the county sheriff, executed the warrant. The investigation began after receiving tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Scott was transported to the Champaign County Jail after officers seized evidence from his residence.
According to officials, Scott was arraigned on eight Class X felony charges on September 10, 2024. His detention hearing is set for Thursday.
