Kentucky State Police Charge 14-Year-Old with Terroristic Threatening at Marion County High

Lebanon, KY (Sept. 10, 2024) – A 14-year-old female juvenile was arrested today after allegedly threatening Marion County High School. The Lebanon Police Department contacted the Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 15 this morning, requesting assistance after school officials received a threatening message sent to a student via text.

Following an extensive investigation, KSP charged the juvenile with first-degree terroristic threatening. She was transported to a juvenile detention center, and the case is under investigation by Detective Dexter Colvin. The Lebanon Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.

According to the KSP, the threat is being taken seriously, and the safety of the students and staff is a priority. Police emphasize the importance of parents discussing the dangers of posting threats on social media and reporting concerning messages.
