Davenport, Iowa – Light rain showers and isolated thunderstorms will linger across eastern Iowa and western Illinois through Sunday night, bringing intermittent wet conditions but no severe weather.

According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, the highest rain chances will develop east of the Mississippi River, particularly during the evenings, with a 20–60% chance of precipitation across the region. Daytime highs will hover in the low to mid-60s, with overnight lows mostly in the 40s.

Cities like Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, and Clinton should expect cloudy skies and occasional drizzle, especially during the overnight hours. Saturday night could bring patchy showers from the southeast, while Sunday night holds a 15–25% rain chance for parts of Illinois. U.S. Highway 30 and areas along the I-80 corridor may see wet pavement and reduced visibility at times.

While flooding and strong storms are not a concern, drivers are advised to remain cautious during evening travel, as spotty rain may affect road conditions. Residents should keep umbrellas and light jackets handy and monitor local weather updates for any shifts in timing or intensity.

More steady sunshine is expected to return Monday, with temperatures climbing into the upper 60s.
