Spokane, Washington – Spokane residents should brace for a noticeable temperature dip this weekend, with highs falling to just 60°F on Sunday and morning lows near 46°F before warming begins midweek.

According to the National Weather Service Spokane, a cool air mass will move through eastern Washington Friday into Monday, driving down daytime highs by 15 to 20 degrees in some cities. Spokane, Pullman, and Republic are all expected to see highs in the low 60s Sunday, while morning lows drop into the 40s across the region.

Cities like Lewiston and Wenatchee—where highs reached the 80s earlier this week—will cool into the 60s through Monday, with a return to mid-70s and low 80s expected by Wednesday. Coeur d’Alene, Colville, and Bonners Ferry will follow a similar pattern, dipping into the 50s and 60s Sunday and Monday.

While no severe weather is expected, residents should prepare for cooler mornings by layering up and limiting early outdoor activities. Those with weekend travel plans, especially to higher elevations, should watch for possible patchy fog or slick conditions during early hours.

Temperatures will rebound steadily by midweek, with highs reaching back into the mid-70s and 80s by Thursday. Additional updates may be issued if the cooldown deepens or extends.
