Greenland, NH – A high-speed pursuit on Interstate 95 ended in a crash in Massachusetts today, resulting in one arrest.
The chase began around 11:30 a.m. when New Hampshire State Police observed a vehicle traveling over 100 mph during a traffic enforcement initiative. Using the State Police aircraft, Trooper Samuel Provenza tracked the suspect’s vehicle and alerted Trooper Scott Garton on the ground, who attempted a stop.
The driver, however, sped southbound, weaving between lanes and using the breakdown lane to evade officers. Massachusetts State Police joined the pursuit as the suspect crossed state lines. Concerned for public safety, both agencies disengaged.
Minutes later, the suspect’s vehicle crashed near Exit 76B after failing to navigate a curve. The driver, an adult male, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.
Authorities have not released the suspect’s identity, but charges are expected in both states. The investigation remains ongoing.
