According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, the warrant was executed Friday at a home along Fruitville Street following numerous complaints about heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic consistent with alleged drug activity. Detectives with the Vice and Narcotics Unit, alongside the Special Intelligence Unit, reportedly identified 54-year-old Jason Russell Klier as allegedly selling trafficking-level quantities of fentanyl from the residence.
Authorities said a total of 10 individuals were found on the property during the search, including inside the home and in a camper on-site. Investigators allegedly seized approximately 65.7 grams of methamphetamine, 21.3 grams of fentanyl, 0.2 grams of oxycodone pills, 3.9 grams of alprazolam pills, 1.1 grams of marijuana, and about 44.6 grams of a liquid substance believed to be a testosterone supplement, which will undergo further testing.
Klier allegedly admitted to ownership of the fentanyl and told deputies he was selling the substance to support personal drug use. Danielle Harris, also identified during the investigation, allegedly claimed ownership of a significant portion of the methamphetamine recovered.
In total, eight individuals were arrested on various narcotics-related charges, including alleged trafficking, possession, and maintaining a structure for drug activity. Another individual was arrested on an unrelated active warrant.
Klier and Harris were held without bond due to the severity of the alleged trafficking charges, while others were issued bonds based on standard schedules.
