Minooka, IL – Grundy County school officials are urging parents to address their children’s behavior after reports of unsafe activities. Recently, students were found loitering, fighting, and running into traffic while visiting local businesses. These behaviors are impacting the broader community and pose legal and disciplinary risks.
According to a letter issued by Minooka CCSD 201 and the Minooka Police Department, the unsafe activities are causing concern for the students’ safety and the operations of local businesses. Fines and further disciplinary actions may be taken.
School officials ask parents to ensure their children are supervised after school hours, especially on Fridays and early release days. They also ask families to ensure students who normally take the bus avoid walking home.
