Fort Worth, TX – A significant heatwave is gripping Texas, with temperatures expected to reach triple digits across much of the state, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth. The intense heat will continue throughout the week, with maximum heat indices forecasted to exceed 105°F in many areas.

According to the NWS, a heat advisory is in effect on Tuesday from noon until 9 p.m. for the Dallas-Fort Worth area and surrounding regions. Temperatures are expected to climb as high as 103°F, with heat index values potentially reaching a sweltering 108°F. The advisory warns residents to limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours, stay hydrated, and wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.

The heatwave is expected to persist through the weekend, with forecast highs for Wednesday ranging from 98°F in Paris to 105°F in Graham. Dallas-Fort Worth is anticipated to hit 101°F, with a heat index of 109°F on Sunday. Similar conditions are forecasted for Waco and Killeen, with temperatures peaking at 103°F over the weekend.
