Florida wakes up to hazy headlights and damp air hanging over Orange and Seminole counties. Visibility has dipped to around one mile at times, especially along stretches of I-4 and the Beachline Expressway. The air feels thick and warm, already sitting near 62 degrees with humidity close to 96 percent.

According to the National Weather Service in Melbourne, patchy, locally dense fog lingers through about 9 a.m. Drivers should expect sudden visibility drops and allow extra space between vehicles. Use low beams and slow down during the morning commute.

Once the fog lifts, sunshine takes over. Highs climb to about 83 degrees this afternoon, signaling early March Spring Vibes across central Florida. Skies stay mostly clear tonight with lows near 65.

By Thursday and Friday, highs surge into the mid-80s. A 40 percent chance of afternoon showers develops Thursday after 1 p.m., with similar scattered shower chances Friday. Storm coverage remains limited, but brief downpours could slow traffic during the evening drive.

Saturday brings another 30 percent chance of showers and storms after 1 p.m., with highs near 86. Sunday stays warm and mostly sunny, reaching 87 degrees. Clocks spring ahead at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8, giving us more evening daylight.

Early next week keeps the warmth locked in. Highs hold in the upper 80s Monday and Tuesday, reflecting a broader national warming trend.

Five Day Outlook for Orlando, Florida:

Today: Patchy fog early, then mostly sunny. High 83.
Thursday: 40% chance of showers after 1 p.m. High 85.
Friday: 40% chance of showers. High 86.
Saturday: 30% chance of afternoon storms. High 86.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, slight shower chance. High 87.
