Chesterton, Indiana – A devastating house fire in Union Township turned tragic as it claimed the life of one individual on Thursday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene in the 500 block of Sandalwood Court, met with a fierce blaze that tore through a residential home.
Porter County Sheriff’s Police (PCSP) responded promptly, joining forces with Union Township Fire Department to combat the inferno. Amidst the efforts to control the fire’s fury, responders discovered one casualty.
“Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased,” the PCSP conveyed.
