East Kentucky to Experience Unseasonably Cool Weather This Week

Jackson, KY – Cool, Canadian high pressure will provide unseasonably cool weather to eastern Kentucky through tonight. According to the US National Weather Service in Jackson, KY, southerly winds will gradually bring warmer temperatures and muggy conditions back into the area for the remainder of the week. The current dry spell is expected to continue until Wednesday night when an approaching cold front will bring the threat of rain back into the area for the latter half of the week.

Tonight, expect mostly clear skies with areas of valley fog developing late. Lows will range from 48-56°F in the valleys and 56-64°F on the ridges. Tomorrow, areas of morning fog will give way to sunny conditions, with highs reaching 82-86°F. Tomorrow night will see mostly clear skies again, with more valley fog late and lows of 62-67°F in the valleys and 66-71°F on the ridges.
