Naperville, IL – An early morning fire on Thursday damaged a Naperville home, causing an estimated $60,000 in damages.
At 3:36 a.m., the Naperville Emergency Communication Center (ECC) received a report of a structure fire in a two-story, single-family home in the 1200 block of Haverhill Circle. ECC dispatched 10 fire units and 24 personnel to the scene, including a commander and incident safety officer.
According to the Naperville Fire Department, while crews were en route, the resident noticed heavy smoke and flames on the deck. The first unit arrived at 3:44 a.m. and found fire on the rear deck, spreading toward the home. Firefighters evacuated all occupants before quickly containing the fire with a hose line.
The fire was declared out by 3:50 a.m. Crews remained on scene for an additional hour to ensure all hot spots were extinguished. The fire was largely limited to the exterior, leaving the home habitable. No injuries were reported.
Naperville Police and city departments assisted at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
