Cass County, MI – A fatal traffic crash at the intersection of M-60 and Dailey Road left one person dead and three others hospitalized on Sunday morning. The accident occurred around 10:20 a.m. in Jefferson Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office reported that a vehicle heading south on Dailey Road ran a stop sign at M-60, causing another vehicle traveling northeast to collide with it. The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency crews transported the driver of the second vehicle and three passengers to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Authorities are still investigating the crash. The sheriff’s office noted that alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the accident. It remains unclear if seat belts were used.
