Columbia, SC – Residents of Columbia and surrounding areas can expect a pleasant change in the weather over the coming days, as temperatures are set to drop slightly, providing some relief from the recent heat. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures in Columbia will hover around the mid-80s for the rest of the week, with highs of 87°F today and gradually cooling down to 84°F by Friday.

The cooler trend is expected to bring more comfortable conditions, with a noticeable drop in humidity as drier air filters into the region. Wednesday and Thursday will see highs of 86°F and 85°F, respectively, under mostly sunny skies, offering ideal weather for outdoor activities.

This cooling pattern is not just confined to Columbia. Nearby cities like Lancaster and Augusta will experience similar drops in temperature, with highs in the low to mid-80s expected. Residents in Lancaster can anticipate highs around 84°F to 83°F, while Augusta will see slightly warmer conditions, with temperatures ranging from 90°F today, cooling to 86°F by Friday.

Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures will slightly rebound, with highs reaching 86°F on Saturday and climbing back to 88°F by Sunday. However, the air will remain relatively dry, ensuring that the heat won’t feel as oppressive as it has in recent weeks. By Monday, temperatures are expected to reach 90°F, signaling a return to warmer conditions.
